Dagmar Neal & Chloe

Chloe's Club Highlights:

OUR GOLD CUP WINNER ..... CHLOE

The dog that does more on three legs than most can do on four!

Chloe came to Dagmar and Dennis Neal as a fluffy black puppy who was boisterous and playful but also wilful and determined. Her strong, stubborn personality stood her in good stead, though, for what happened just before she was two.

On a visit to an open garden, Chloe was left in the car. She was determined to come too and managed to squeeze out. She was hit by a car, resulting in the loss of her hind leg.

Did it slow her down?
Hardly!

Her only problem was learning to balance operating the doggie door, otherwise it was getting on with life with all the tearing around and playing involved.

In the meantime the male, black miniature poodle that was on order (Geronimo) joined the Neal household. It was when he went to puppy classes that they learned about agility, so when he was old enough along they all went. Seems Chloe took one look and she too was determined to join in this new game.

And the rest is history.

Chloe began trialling in 1998 and achieved both her ADM and JDM titles by February 2002. She then began a career in obedience, obtaining her CDX title a year later.

Although retired from Jumping classes, Chloe continued competing in RQHs and Master Agility. She achieved a further 24 passes in Master Agility until her retirement after the Festival of Agility in 2004.

She has made several television appearances over the years and featured in numerous publications - everyone is fascinated by the dog that was initially labelled "not a good candidate for agility"!
